Welcome to the web site for the
American Rental Association of Pennsylvania
The American Rental Association of Pennsylvania, formerly known as the Pennsylvania Equipment Rental Association (PERA), was established in 1980. The name was changed in 2008 to reflect the fact that our members are more than just equipment rental stores.
We have the honor of being the first state association to be affiliated with ARA and became the model for other state associations. The primary focus of the Association is legislative and government affairs as they pertain to the rental industry; however, we have also broadened our focus to include educational seminars. The purpose of the Association remains to serve and help the furtherance and growth of the rental industry.
Within the state, there are three local associations. In the eastern part of the state is the Delaware Valley Rental Association. The Keystone Rental Association is in the central part of the state, and the Western Pennsylvania Rental Association is located in the western part of the state. Each local Association appoints two representatives to ARA of PA. These six, plus the Regional Director for Region 2, form the Board of Directors.
